This is an individual, two-storey penthouse apartment, situated in a magnificent converted warehouse in the very trendy Collingwood warehouse precinct, right in the heart of Collingwood. Smith, Gertrude and Brunswick Streets are at your doorstep. It’s a very secure building that requires an access code to enter. There are two floors of stairs between the entrance lobby and the apartment, and the garage is one flight of stairs below the lobby level, so the apartment is not ideal for anyone who dislikes stairs..
 
Each floor of the penthouse has a huge deck that is perfect for an outdoor meal or catching some sun. Decorated in Scandinavian style decor, the apartment is spacious and light filled with floor to ceiling windows.

Getting There
It's easy to get to the StayCentral on George apartment. From the airport, you can just take a taxi, or you can hop on the Skybus to Southern Cross Station. From there,  you can take the No. 86 Tram (to Plenty Road) up Bourke St, and get off at Stop a8 at Hodgson St on Smith St,  and walk 250m to the apartment. Full directions & instructions on how to access your apartment will be provided once your booking is confirmed with StayCentral. Also, if you only travel on the trams within the city grid, it's free, and you don't need a Myki card.
 
Getting Around
This apartment is very centrally located and the CBD is only a 15 – 20 minute walk. The number 86 tram along Smith street goes directly into the CBD.The closest train station is Collingwood but funnily enough it is located on the other side of Hoddle Street in Abbotsford.The closest Melbourne bike share station is located on Brewery Lane which is only about a 2 or 3 minute walk from the apartment.
 
Guest Interaction
We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site from our greeters, once your booking is confirmed. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We always check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.A compendium with full instructions and local information is supplied in all of our apartments

Within 30 days, the minimum stay is 3 nights
30 days or more in advance, the min stay is 7 nights
90 days or more in advance, the min stay is 28 nights
We won't be able to accept bookings that do not meet the above criteria.
A portacot and high chair is available for a small fee - BYO cot linen.
 
 

Late Arrivals

For guests arriving between 22:00 and 08:00 there is a late arrival fee of $100.00
For no shows, there is a no show fee of $100
For Public Holiday arrivals, there is an extra surcharge of $50

 

Check in
On check in, you will be asked to sign a registration form confirming the receipt of remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions.



Pet Stays
NB: Many of our properties, (including this one), are pet-friendly, but only with approval, and as long as they are quiet, and do not damage or climb on the furnishings! The pet stay fee is $135 (base rate) plus $5 per night per pet.



SECURITY BOND - FOR SOME GUESTS
For stays of 28+ nights and bookings made within 5 days of arrival, you will be required to pay a refundable bond of $1200.00. Payments of this bond by credit card or International Bank Transfer will incur fees which are not refundable. Please note bonds may be requested at the managers discretion. Bonds are due 7 days before arrival and are refunded within 14 days of departure. The bond will be debited for any damage, missing items, excessive cleaning or food or rubbish removal.

 
CREDIT CARDS
All bookings require a credit card to be held on file for security purposes during your stay. Any credit cards used must be added by the guest and verified by our 3DSecure security verification process. Cards that cannot be verified will not be accepted. Please enquire with us for more details before making a booking.
