THE APARTMENT

This chic, brand new, two bedroom apartment with lift access is located in Melbourne's oldest suburb and cultural hub, Fitzroy. The spacious apartment itself is light filled, with full height windows, oak floors and a large full length, private outdoor balcony. The apartment is centred around a large open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. The sophisticated kitchen beckons you to whip up a storm with its high end Swiss appliances if the mood takes you. If not, you are spoiled for choice with bustling Smith Street and Brunswick Streets nearby with their cafes, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and wine bars.

The elegant bathroom is equiped with a shower and basin. There is a separate toilet with it's own hand basin as well. There is also a worskpace with desk situated away from the living area for any time you just can't escape work. Perfect for a small family or couple on a city break or corporates, the apartment has everything you need for both short and longer stays.

There is one allocated parking space in the secure, undercover garage under the building, with access from the laneway behind. However, you may not even need a car, with great access to everything within walking distance. The apartment is only a short 350m stroll to the trams and a 13 minute tram ride into the CBD. The nearest supermarket is ALDI and is only a 2 min walk, or there's Woolworths which is a 4 min walk. The Eastern Freeway is only 1.5 km away, so if you need to get out of the big smoke for a bit, it's a quick getaway.

The apartment is a short tram ride to both St Vincent's Hospital and the Epworth Freemason's Hospital, making it an ideal base for visiting medical staff or a patient's family.

What I love about my George Street apartment is waking up with a sun kissed city view from my bedroom and watching the day end, unwinding on my balcony with my city glowing in the
sunset.

The apartment is so comfortable and spacious, the concrete pillars and ceiling add to the inner city warehouse appeal. George Street is nestled between Brunswick, Johnston and Smith Streets, all are iconic streets of inner Melbourne famous for restaurants of various ethnicities, music, wine, gin and rooftop bars, fine dining to funky cafes. You are truly spoilt for choice. The area buzzes with life at all hours. It’s also a shopper’s paradise with a plethora of factory outlets on Smith Street. If you like markets, the Rose Street Artist’s & Fitzroy flea markets are all within walking distance. Treat you self to a Lune croissant, or a Greek feast at Jim’s Greek Tavern an institution for over 50 years. Explore the cool graffiti and surrounding bluestone lanes. Hop on a tram and within 10mins you are in the heart of
the city.

 

LOCATION:

Walk Score of 99 out of 100. This location is a Walker’s Paradise so daily errands do not require a car. It is a three minute walk from the 86 Waterfront City Docklands - Bundoora RMIT tram at the 19-Johnston St/Smith St (Fitzroy) stop. Nearby parks include Greeves Street Reserve, Whitlam Place and Condell Street Park.

There are about 624 restaurants, bars and coffee shops in Fitzroy. People in Fitzroy can walk to an average of 36 restaurants, bars and coffee shops in 5 minutes.

 

Guest Interaction

We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site from our greeters, once your booking is confirmed. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We always check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.

PLEASE NOTE OUR MINIMUM STAYS REQUIREMENTS BELOW:

 

Many sites only allow us to show one rate, so we need to clarify our booking rules here.

Within 30 days, the minimum stay is 3 nights

30 days or more in advance, the min stay is 7 nights

90 days or more in advance, the min stay is 28 nights

We won't be able to accept bookings that do not meet the above criteria.
 

Late Arrivals

For guests arriving between 22:00 and 08:00 there is a late arrival fee of $100.00
For no shows, there is a no show fee of $100
For Public Holiday arrivals, there is an extra surcharge of $50

 

Check in
On check in, you will be asked to sign a registration form confirming the receipt of remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions.



Pet Stays

Unfortunately there are no pets allowed here. However, many of our properties are pet-friendly with approval.



SECURITY BOND - FOR SOME GUESTS
For stays of 28+ nights and bookings made within 5 days of arrival, you will be required to pay a refundable bond of $1200.00. Payments of this bond by credit card or International Bank Transfer will incur fees which are not refundable. Please note bonds may be requested at the managers discretion. Bonds are due 7 days before arrival and are refunded within 14 days of departure. The bond will be debited for any damage, missing items, excessive cleaning or food or rubbish removal.

 

CREDIT CARDS
All bookings require a credit card to be held on file for security purposes during your stay. Any credit cards used must be added by the guest and verified by our 3DSecure security verification process. Cards that cannot be verified will not be accepted. Please enquire with us for more details before making a booking.
