StayCentral is a unique group of serviced, corporate apartments in metropolitan Melbourne, that aims to give our guests a personalised experience when they book and stay. Each property has been chosen for its distinctive appeal and is individually furnished; ensuring StayCentral offers a unique range to meet a variety of needs.

When I began this accommodation business in St Kilda, the original plan was to become involved in the backpacker market. I decided instead that I should buy nice apartments that I could live in ourselves, if the backpacker concept failed.

On finding my first apartment in the Majestic, in Fitzroy St, I thought it was too good to offer to backpackers. So I made the decision to offer it to more mature travellers; those who want some very nice, spacious accommodation, but didn’t want to pay expensive hotel prices.

I ran the business with the one apartment for six months, and then started buying more apartments in St Kilda, Southbank, Port Melbourne and Brunswick, as the demand for really nice apartments grew. Only four years later, with five apartments, my business was known around the world, with guests arriving from many different countries each year; some of them returning guests.  I now have returning guests from all over the world and from interstate.
