This is an architecturally designed semi-detached home located in a quiet suburban area, only 6 km from the CBD.

Perfect for 6 or more guests, the dominant features of the house are its’ high angular ceilings which provide sculptural interest. Its’ tall full height doors and windows, skylights and highlight windows make the house light and airy.

The house is well insulated within external & internal walls and ceilings insulated to ensure that it remains cool in summer and retains heat in winter. The house is designed to have a high-energy rating, and excellent cross-through ventilation. It also has central heating and multiple ceiling fans throughout.

The single level house is ideal for guests who have mobility issues or just hate stairs. Access from the car space to the house is only one small step at the front door threshold.

The floor of the house is polished concrete throughout – a terrazzo look, making it easy to maintain a dust free environment. This is perfect for guests with allergies.

The fully-equipped kitchen has marble bench-tops, 900mm wide 6 burner gas cooktop and electric oven, top of the range appliances, integrated large French door style fridge/freezer, DeLonghi coffee machine, double toaster suitable for crumpets, dishwasher, microwave, separate pantry and double sink.

There are 4 bedrooms, three have access to a secure external area via a fully glazed sliding door. The 4th bedroom has access to the front garden. All bedrooms have mirrors, ceiling fans and block out blinds. Each bedroom has a small safe, and keys can be issued upon request.

The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, and pillows of different densities. The bunk style bedrooms have purpose built sturdy bunks with study desks. The rooms have ergonomic office chairs and study lamps as well as large floor cushions. These rooms can be modified to have the mattress at ground level if preferred. These rooms are very popular with children and young adults. 

The bookcase is well populated with games, puzzles, adult & children’s books, cookbooks, craft materials & Lego.

For guests who ride bikes, there is a secured side area that can accommodate 6-8 bikes.

This home has every consideration made for both style and comfort. The property has ducted central heating and ceiling fans throughout, a generous amount of power points and ceiling lights, polished concrete slab for ease of maintaining a clean and robust surface.

If you feel like a luxurious, spacious and modern home with light–filled rooms and high ceilings, this home could be perfect for your family of 5 or more people.

The décor and artworks throughout the home is mainly of oriental origin.

The tapestry in the passage was bought in Beijing on the Great Wall of China.

The 2 scrolls in the living room were brought in Shanghai and depict the protectors of the house.

The fans & chopsticks are from Japan, China, Indonesia, Taiwan & Korea

The rug in the living room was from the famous Tai Ping carpet factory in Hong Kong.

The mirror in the 3rd bedroom was salvage from the owner’s childhood bureau and is her oldest possession.

The flower photos are by Charley Radney a Geelong photographer – these are original B&W photos hand coloured - taken around 1986.

The koala sliding down the street post was designed by the owner’s husband in 1985 who was a graphic designer.

All tea, coffee, toiletries, washing and cleaning products and other welcome supplies can be found in the kitchen pantry and laundry cupboard. You will need to purchase more of these consumables if you need them for the rest of your stay.

The house is unique; the airiness and lightness with its high ceilings are its best asset. The living areas are at the rear of the house allowing the bedrooms off the passage to be private and quiet spaces. More so, the house is a lifestyle choice when you discover what’s around the corner.)

Getting There

The easiest way to get to this property from Tullamarine Airport is a 30-minute trip by taxi or Uber, but you can also use public transport if you wish. Please go to Public Transport Victoria website Journey Planner or call us if you need help. Full directions & instructions on how to access your property will be provided once your booking is confirmed with StayCentral.

Getting Around

Travelling to the city is easy, the house is located between two train stations – Fairfield Station & Alphington Station. Both stations are a 15 minute walk. There is also a bus to the city on Grange Road at the end of the street. It's less than 20 minute drive to the CBD by car or taxi or 45 minutes by public transport.



Many sites only allow us to show one rate, so we need to clarify our booking rules here.

Within 30 days, the minimum stay is 3 days

30 days or more in advance, the min stay is 7 days

90 days or more in advance, the min stay is 28 days

We won't be able to accept bookings that do not meet the above criteria.

*Very early and late arrivals require the following fees to have someone there at these times:

Arrivals between 6:00 am and 9:30 am: $25.00

Arrivals between 5:30 pm and 9:00 pm: $25.00

Arrivals between 9:00 pm and midnight $55.00

Arrivals between midnight and 6:00 am: $100.00

We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site once your booking is confirmed, and your security deposit is processed; normally a week before arrival. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We generally check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.

Check in

On check in, the owner of the credit card must be present, and will be asked to: 

provide the credit card used for the booking (and the security bond if different)

provide the matching photo ID 

·  sign a registration form confirming the receipt of keys and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions; including the authorisation for StayCentral to use the security deposit held by us, or on the relevant credit card, as payment for any expenses as described in the above Terms.

We require a minimum security bond of $1,000 which increases for very long stays and bookings on the day of arrival. The bond will be charged to your credit card used for the booking, up to seven days before your arrival and released after your departure (subject to a damage and excess cleaning check). The bond will be debited for any damage, missing items, excessive cleaning or food or rubbish removal, and significant amounts of admin time associated with any issue caused by the guest. Any credit cards used may need to be verified by our SecureID security verification process. Cards that cannot be verified will not be accepted, and any payments made will not be honoured.
