Ideal for two, this beautiful split-level apartment is strategically positioned in the heart of the CBD's vibrant cafe, restaurant, and shopping scene. While officially a studio apartment, the queen bed is situated in a separate split-level space, complemented by large block-out blinds ensuring privacy and minimal light interference. The boutique apartment features contemporary furnishings, top-notch appliances, quality linen, towels, and a spacious kitchen with ample storage.

There is also a pull out double bed (from below the raised bedroom) should you need to accommodate a couple of extras.

The prime location provides easy access to shops, cafes, restaurants, laneways, trams, and Melbourne's diverse attractions.

Car parking is available nearby for a small fee - monthly rates are about $16/day.



Merigold 21 on Collins is in the middle of some of the best shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia. Here, you are essentially on the doorstep of Brunetti, Degraves St and the City Library. The tram stops are just 100m away. You can enjoy a walk to some of the best-known sporting venues, markets and arts venues in the country. Everyday shops, services, banks & ATMS and all your everyday needs are catered for nearby.


It is only a short walk to Chinatown, and some of the best shopping, theatres, restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia are on your doorstep. Melbourne Central shopping centre, the Bourke Street Mall, Carlton Gardens and Melbourne Museum/IMAX theatre, Crown Casino, the Emporium, Federation Square, and the aquarium are all within easy walking distance. 


Getting There

It's easy to get to Merigold 21 on Collins. From the airport, you can just take a taxi, or you can hop on the Skybus to Southern Cross Station. From there, it's a short walk and a free tram ride up Collins St to Swanston St, and Merigold is just across the road from where you get off the tram, and a few steps back to Manchester Lane


Getting Around

The trams in the Melbourne CBD are brilliant. The trams are only 100 metres away on Collins St or around the corner on Swanston St or down Degraves St. You can take a very short walk to Flinders St Station as well if you want to go a bit further. Also, if you only travel on the trams within the city grid, it's free, and you don't need a Myki card.


Guest Interaction

We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site from our greeters, once your booking is confirmed. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We always check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day. A compendium with full instructions and local information is supplied in all of our apartments. Full directions & instructions on how to access your apartment will be provided once your booking is confirmed with StayCentral. 




Many sites only allow us to show one rate, so we need to clarify our booking rules here.

Within 30 days, the minimum stay is 3 nights

30 days or more in advance, the min stay is 7 nights

90 days or more in advance, the min stay is 28 nights

We won't be able to accept bookings that do not meet the above criteria.



Late Arrivals

For guests arriving between 22:00 and 08:00 there is a late arrival fee of $100.00
For no shows, there is a no show fee of $100
For Public Holiday arrivals, there is an extra surcharge of $50


Check in
On check in, you will be asked to sign a registration form confirming the receipt of remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions.

Pet Stays
No pets allowed to stay here, however, many of our properties are pet-friendly.

For stays of 28+ nights and bookings made within 5 days of arrival, you will be required to pay a refundable bond of $1200.00. Payments of this bond by credit card or International Bank Transfer will incur fees which are not refundable. Please note bonds may be requested at the managers discretion. Bonds are due 7 days before arrival and are refunded within 14 days of departure. The bond will be debited for any damage, missing items, excessive cleaning or food or rubbish removal.


All bookings require a credit card to be held on file for security purposes during your stay. Any credit cards used must be added by the guest and verified by our 3DSecure security verification process. Cards that cannot be verified will not be accepted. Please enquire with us for more details before making a booking.
