All tea, coffee, toiletries, washing and cleaning products and other welcome supplies can be found in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. You will need to purchase more of these consumables if you need them for the rest of your stay.
This is an individual apartment with a separate, garage-size study, tucked into its own private, fenced-off yard at the front of a small apartment complex. It has a private entrance off Cotham Road, behind a high front fence which encloses a private car space and garden. There is also a small outdoor area at the rear. Perfect for four, your stylishly refurbished apartment has two bedrooms: with one king and one queen bed.
The main bedroom is double glazed for comfortable temperature control and quiet nights all year round. Reverse cycle air conditioning and heating is provided in the living area. Separate heating is available for study.

Since moving to Kew 20ish years ago, I always felt a sense of community here, coupled with convenience. An arts hub within a bustling business hub, complete with everything at my fingertips and public transport on my doorstep. A dream locale! A central point between all major directions of Melbourne. A local locale, Kew (and surrounds) has seen me enjoying everything from her art spaces as I brunched, to her fine dining and wine bars in the evenings, gorgeous leisurely early morning walks, a library that kept me busy, gym for fitness, medical services; (even a vet close by for our furry friends) Kew has it all. This location is a Walker’s Paradise so daily errands do not require a car. It is only a five minute walk from Cotham Village offering Post Office, Dry Cleaners, Chemist, Newsagent, various Café’s, a wine bar, exquisite dining, to relaxing brunch, with the 109 (City) Tram taking you through to Port Melbourne via Victoria St, Collins St, and the 48 Tram through Bridge Rd, Flinders St to CBD stops. Nearby parks include Alexander Gardens, the Botanicals at Victoria Gardens, Petrie Square amongst the heritage listed historic Kew Cemetery.

Kew Cottage is located right between Glenferrie and Burke Rds in Kew, and Studley Park and Balwyn, with Art Galleries, and Botanical Gardens close to Alexander Gardens, Victoria Gardens, Norris Reserve, Studley Park Boathouse, Tennis Courts, Palace Como Cinemas Deepdene, the Kew and Balwyn leisure centres (under renovation scheduled to re-open end of 2023) and the Airport is only 29 kms or 45-60 mins from CBD. Nearby at High St, Glenferrie Rd, Burke Rd and Whitehorse Rds, you will find a large selection of colourful boutique shops, countless restaurants, cafes, pizzerias, bars & pubs, various supermarkets, ATMS etc; all your everyday needs are catered for. The eastern freeway takes you to Brunswick St in 10 mins, or north to Darebin suburbs where there also is a lively music scene as well as the CBD. For more great restaurants and cafes visit Cotham Village, only a short stroll away to, Kew City, Balwyn, Hawthorn, Abbotsford, to funky Fitzroy.
If you are coming 29 km’s from the airport, exit from Citylink at Flemington Rd, then on to Alexander Road and the Eastern Freeway, take the Burke Rd exit ramp and turn right onto Burke Rd, then right onto Princess St, left onto High St, then right at the Cotham Rd fork.

Trams are just out the front, run frequently, and only take 30-40 mins (traffic dependant) to reach the CBD. You can either travel south west on tram 48 through Richmond and Flinders St, or tram 109 down Victoria St, Victoria Pde, where you can go north via the interchange at Smith Sts, and / or Brunswick Sts, the 109 continues to Port Melbourne. Also, if you only travel on the trams within the city grid, it's free, and you don't need a Myki card.
Alternatively, you can catch the No. 16 tram at nearby Glenferrie Road, and get off before Glenferrie Station, and take a train to the city from there. It’s a bit more walking before and after the tram; that’s all.
We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site from our greeters, once your booking is confirmed. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We always check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.

Within 30 days, the minimum stay is 3 nights
30 days or more in advance, the min stay is 7 nights
90 days or more in advance, the min stay is 28 nights
We won't be able to accept bookings that do not meet the above criteria.
Late arrival fee*:
Arrivals between 18:00 - 22:00: $50.00
Arrivals between 22:00 - 08:00: $100.00
Arrivals between 08:00 - 10:00: $50.00
No Show: same rate charged as if guest was there, plus applicable rate for when
guest actually arrives.
*Fees will be higher on Public Holidays
(We don't have an office on site, so the greeters need to travel across town after hours to meet you).
We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site once your booking is confirmed, and your security deposit is processed, a week before arrival. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.
On check in, you will be asked to sign a registration form confirming the receipt of
remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions;
NB: Many of our properties, including this one, are pet-friendly, but only with approval, and as long as they are quiet, and do not damage or climb on the furnishings! The minimum pet stay fee is $150 and daily fees vary from $20 down to $5 for longer stays - A Vet is located at 13 Cotham Rd - 3 minute drive from Kew Cottage.
SECURITY BOND- FOR SOME GUESTS
Under some circumstances, we may require a refundable security bond of $xxx or
more. The bond will be debited for any damage, missing items, excessive cleaning
or food or rubbish removal.
All bookings require a credit card to be held on file for security purposes during your
stay. Any credit cards used must be added by the guest and verified by our
3DSecure security verification process. Cards that cannot be verified will not be
