Staying at Staycentral in Essendon was a pleasure. The apartment has all the comforts of home in a stylish, modern and spacious package. A great central location between the city and airport makes this a fantastic spot for interstate travellers and locals alike. The building is very secure and there is great parking facilities onsite. We would definitely recommend Staycentral.

You won't find anything else like this two-bedroom apartment (with a study with a double sofa bed) in Essendon. If you want good quality accommodation in Essendon, this is it. If you just want an everyday, cheap stay, this property won't be what you need.

This very comfortable apartment is in a brilliant location for a city stay; close to the city but not in it. You can easily enjoy its first class entertainment, arts, sporting and social options or just as easily wander to nearby cafes, restaurants and shops; including a DFO and large shopping centre not too far away.

The sense of space and light in this spacious apartment creates a warm living space that is easy to live in, and is accompanied by modern appliances and premium quality finishes. Stylish and smart, efficient layouts allow for more living space whilst maintaining access to all modern appliances when required.

This spacious apartment includes a generous balcony with 180 degree, commanding views from the City itself, east and north to the Dandenong ranges. You can sit back and enjoy the sense of open space, or simply entertain family and friends in this large, private space with the large sun shades when needed. There are two queen bedrooms and a double sofa bed if needed. Excellent facilities include a 40" UHD Smart TV with free Netflix in the living area, as well as a 43" TV in the master bedroom. Unlimited Wi-Fi and security, reserved, undercover car parking is included.

Perfect for four, this very comfortable corporate apartment is brilliantly located; in a modern city-edge precinct right in Essendon, and only a stones throw to cafes, shop, restaurants, gym and pool  at Windy Hill Fitness Centre that is 2 minutes down the road in the nearby village. The trains are very close by, and the city trams are right out the front in the palm tree-lined Mount Alexander Road. You can easily explore the unique boutiques and indulge in renowned designer brands. With all you need on your doorstep and a brilliant view, you will love this apartment and the location. This is also very close to Moonee Ponds and the Moonee Valley  and Flemington Racecourses. Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) is very close as well.

Your corporate-style apartment includes high quality furnishings and appliances, linen, towels, and a full kitchen and dedicated laundry, as well as a large outdoor setting on the very long north and east-facing balcony. There's also a cot and high chair available for free if needed. Don't forget to bring linen for the cot.

​​​​All tea, coffee, toiletries, washing and cleaning products and other welcome supplies can be found in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. You will need to purchase more of these consumables if you need them for the rest of your stay.

Your apartment is a two-minute walk to the city tram (No. 59) and a five-minute walk to the Essendon Railway Station. From here it is only six stops to Flinders Street station in the CBD.   There are cafes, hotels, bottle shops, restaurants, grocery stores (Foodworks & 7-Eleven), Windy Hill Fitness Centre, swimming pool, spa, sauna, gym all at your doorstep!

StayCentral in Central Essendon is so close to so many things of interest in the area nearby as well as the nearby CBD. Here are just a few examples of local attractions which are an easy drive or a quick tram ride away:

Southbank and Southgate Promenade shops, restaurants and cafes; right on the river

Southbank to Port Melbourne, South Melbourne or South Yarra - great for walking, jogging, bike riding or rollerblading. Southbank promenade forms part of the Capital City Bicycle Trail, which circles the Melbourne city centre and some inner eastern and northern suburbs. A popular starting point for the trail is at Princes Bridge near Flinders Street Station. Bikes can be hired near the boathouses east of the bridge.

The Yarra River is a great way to see the city and hear about its history. The river cruises show you and tell you so much about the city.

GETTING AROUND

The trams in the Melbourne are brilliant. You can see the tram stop for Essendon (stop 41) from the front door.  It is only a three-minute walk down Napier Street.  You will need a MYKI card that can be purchased at the 7 Eleven Store just across the road from the tram stop.  tramTRACKER is good app for your phone. It makes it easy to check the time for the next Tram. It takes around 30 minutes to get to the CBD. You can also download Public Transport Victoria (PTV) app or just Google it. you can use the Journey planner to plan your trip.

Alternatively, it is a short seven minute walk from this apartment to Essendon Railway Station.  Walk down Napier St. cross the tram station and go down Russell St where you will see the entrance to the train station. You will need a MYKI card that can be purchased from the agent at the station. If you use the PTV app, you can use the Journey planner, putting in Essendon Station and destination Flinders Street Station to get the departure times for the 18 minute trip to the city centre.

GETTING THERE

Transport from the airport is easy; take the Skybus from outside the airport terminal to Southern Cross train station in downtown Melbourne, then cross over to the Craigieburn metro train line. Hop off at Essendon station and cross over Mt Alexander Road; a few minutes walk from the station).  If more than two people are traveling together it might be better to use an Uber or a Taxi.

Check in

On check in you will be asked to:

provide your photo ID

provide the credit card used for the booking (Airbnb excepted)

sign a registration form confirming the receipt of remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions.

 

Important notice: The name on the photo ID and credit card should match the name of the person on the booking.  Credit card should be the same that was used to pay for your booking. Please ask us about this if it may not be possible.


We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site once your booking is confirmed, and your security deposit is processed; normally a week before arrival. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We generally check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.
