DESCRIPTION:
This is an individual penthouse apartment in a small, new, apartment complex, tucked into the quiet end of Campbell Grove, with stunning views over the city of Melbourne. It combines magnificent open-style architecture with light, water-filled gardens, and beautiful modern interior areas.
Perfect for four, this is a two-bedroom apartment: with a comfortable, pillow-top, queen bed, (splittable) queen bed, and city-facing balcony with two outdoor settings. There are mirrored robes with hanging space and lots of hangers, reverse cycle air conditioning and heating. The bathroom has bath towels (and spares), adjustable shower height and a massage shower head, and hair dryer.
A clothes airer, small step ladder and extra blankets are provided.
It has a fully equipped kitchen and its own laundry facilities, as well as a comfy living area with magnificent views. Be sure to watch and listen for the huge balloons floating past in the mornings. The telescope is great for watching these and everything else in your constantly changing, 180-degree views.

This location has a Walk Score of 89 out of 100, and is Very Walkable so most errands can be accomplished on foot. It is a three minute walk from the 86 Waterfront City Docklands - Bundoora RMIT tram at the 30-Clarke St/High St (Northcote) stop. This tram runs right through the middle of Clifton Hill, Fitzroy and Collingwood to the city to the south and Thornbury and Preston to the north. 
Nearby parks include Baden Morgan Reserve, Ottery Reserve and Merri Park.
If you want to be close to the city, but not in the city, this is the place to stay. Northcote is a gentrified area, so the area has all the benefits of a great selection of cafes, restaurants, shops and everyday requirements. It is surrounded by Brunswick, Thornbury, Ivanhoe and Fitzroy North.
Very close by in High Street, you will find an interesting selection of colourful shops, cafes, restaurants, a supermarket, ATMS etc; all your everyday needs are catered for. There are plenty of bars, and a lively music scene as well. For more great restaurants, cafes, bars and a brilliant cinema visit Westgarth village, only a short stroll down High Street. The area is among the best-served by public transport in Melbourne.
 
Getting There
The easiest way to get to Northcote Hill Penthouse from anywhere is get a taxi, Uber or Ola ride; including from Tullamarine Airport.Alternative transport from the airport is also relatively easy; take the Skybus from outside the airport terminal to Southern Cross train station in downtown Melbourne, then hop on the Hurstbridge train on Platform 9, and get off at Westgarth Railway Station. Walk back to Westgarth ST and turn right, then get on the Tram 86 to Plenty Rd going up the hill, and get off before the top of the hill at Clarke St. Your apartment is 3 minutes walk from there. Just turn left on to Campbell Grove, just past the service station on the corner.
 
Getting Around
Northcote has five railway stations along two lines. The South Morang Line serves Merri Station, Northcote Station and Croxton Station. The Hurstbridge Line serves Westgarth Station and Dennis Station. An electric tram service (route 86) runs along High Street; north to Thornbury and Preston, and south through Clifton Hill and Collingwood. 
An electric tram service also runs along St Georges Road (route 11), north to Gillbert Road, and south through Fitzroy North and Fitzroy to Collins St in the city. Northcote is also served by bus routes along Separation Street, Westgarth Street and Victoria Road.
 
Guest Interaction
We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site from our greeters, once your booking is confirmed. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We always check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.
 
A Guest Information Folder with full instructions and local information is supplied in all of our apartments. Full directions & instructions on how to access your apartment will be provided once your booking is confirmed with StayCentral. 
 
Also, if you only travel on the trams within the city grid, it's free, and you don't need a Myki card.

PLEASE NOTE OUR MINIMUM STAYS REQUIREMENTS BELOW:

Within 30 days, the minimum stay is 3 nights
30 days or more in advance, the min stay is 7 nights
90 days or more in advance, the min stay is 28 nights
We won't be able to accept bookings that do not meet the above criteria.
 

Late Arrivals

For guests arriving between 22:00 and 08:00 there is a late arrival fee of $100.00
For no shows, there is a no show fee of $100
For Public Holiday arrivals, there is an extra surcharge of $50

 

Check in
On check in, you will be asked to sign a registration form confirming the receipt of remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions.



Pet Stays
NB: Many of our properties, (including this one) are pet-friendly, but only with approval, and as long as they are quiet, and do not damage or climb on the furnishings! The pet stay fee is $135 (base rate) plus $5 per night per pet.



SECURITY BOND - FOR SOME GUESTS
For stays of 28+ nights and bookings made within 5 days of arrival, you will be required to pay a refundable bond of $1200.00. Payments of this bond by credit card or International Bank Transfer will incur fees which are not refundable. Please note bonds may be requested at the managers discretion. Bonds are due 7 days before arrival and are refunded within 14 days of departure. The bond will be debited for any damage, missing items, excessive cleaning or food or rubbish removal.

 
CREDIT CARDS
All bookings require a credit card to be held on file for security purposes during your stay. Any credit cards used must be added by the guest and verified by our 3DSecure security verification process. Cards that cannot be verified will not be accepted. Please enquire with us for more details before making a booking.
