Car parking is available nearby for a small fee - monthly rates are reasonable.
This is an individual apartment in a heritage, converted warehouse. There is only one other apartment on the floor, and is accessed via a secure entrance with intercom. You can then either take the elevator or striking industrial central staircase to the apartment on level 2. 
Perfect for four, this historic warehouse with its handsome Edwardian façade was built in the 1840’s, was a paper factory circa 1905 and rag trade offices in the 80’s. It was finally converted in 1998 as part of a boutique block of only 11 apartments. Its true warehouse features are characterised by its original exposed red brick walls, lofty ceilings, exposed structural beams and polished original timber floors.
The apartment welcomes you with a large, tiled entrance foyer before blending into a spacious open plan living zone. It has a generous sized, stunning designer kitchen with vast amounts of cupboard space & SMEG appliances. The carpeted main bedroom has a unique, glass brick window, a large WIR & ensuite fitted with a large spa bath & double shower. 
The apartment has been professionally decorated with artistic furnishings and décor, and it has a spacious yet very cosy feel to it. Overlooking Bond St below, it is easy to feel like you are in the heart of a bustling, exciting city, yet tucked away in your own hideaway.
Note from the owner
We knew we had to buy this apartment when we saw it, and have never regretted calling it ours. The location was perfect for us with the Elizabeth and Flinders Street trams mere meters away along with Flinders Street Station. We love the history of the building and the many hats it wore, (e.g. a paper factory circa 1905 and rag trade offices in the 80’s). At over 150 sqm it is a CBD rarity due to the spaciousness and high ceilings. It is also a 1⁄2 floor apartment, therefore is private and quiet. The distinct true warehouse features give the place so much character along with the solid timber hardwood floors, exposed red brick and the original solid timber columns. We furnished and decorated the apartment with the respect it deserves, and hope you enjoy it as much as we know you will.

This warehouse conversion is well located to enjoy Melbourne, only a very short stroll to the trams in Flinders and Elizabeth Streets, and the trains at the famous Flinders St Station. It is surrounded by bustling inner CBD streets, with their cafes, restaurants, theatres, sporting venues, tourist attractions galore, shops, supermarkets and wine bars. Degreaves Lane, the Block Arcade cafes and Collins St shopping and are only short walk away
Nearby parks include Enterprize Park, Batman Park, Queen Victoria Gardens, Treasury Gardens and Flagstaff Gardens.
It is only a short walk to Chinatown, Melbourne Central shopping centre, the Bourke Street Mall, Carlton Gardens and Melbourne Museum/IMAX theatre and the aquarium are all close by. 
There are many local attractions which are an easy walk or a very quick tram ride away:
The Yarra River Cruises are a great way to see the city and hear about its history. 

Getting There
It's easy to get to Heritage Retreat Melbourne. From the airport, you can just take a taxi, or an Uber or you can hop on the Skybus to Southern Cross Station. From there, it's a short walk and a free tram ride up Bourke St to Queen St (Stop 4), walk about 500m down Queen St to the right, and Heritage Retreat is just around the corner to the left in Flinders Lane. Full directions & instructions will be provided once your booking is confirmed. 
Getting Around
The trams in the Melbourne CBD are brilliant. From Heritage Retreat, trams can be found in every direction on Flinders St and Collins St running east-west or William and Elizabeth Sts running north-south. You can cross the road to Flinders St Station as well; if you want to go a bit further. The best way to find out how to get somewhere is on Journey Planner on the Public Transport Victoria (PTV) website
Also, if you only travel on the trams within the city grid, it's free, and you don't need a Myki card.
Guest Interaction
We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site from our greeters, once your booking is confirmed. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We always check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.A compendium with full instructions and local information is supplied in all of our apartments. Full directions & instructions on how to access your apartment will be provided once your booking is confirmed with StayCentral. 
Many sites only allow us to show one rate, so we need to clarify our booking rules here.
Within 30 days, the minimum stay is 3 nights
30 days or more in advance, the min stay is 7 nights
90 days or more in advance, the min stay is 28 nights
We won't be able to accept bookings that do not meet the above criteria.
Service fee: $180 per stay
A portacot and high chair is available for a small fee - BYO cot linen.
*Very early and late arrivals require the following fees to have someone there at these times:
Between 6:00 am and 9:30 am: $25.00
Between 5:30 pm and 9:00 pm: $25.00
Between 9:00 pm and midnight $55.00
Between midnight and 6:00 am: $100.00
We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site once your booking is confirmed, and your security deposit is processed; a week before arrival. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.
Check in
On check in, the owner of the credit card must be present, and will be asked to: 
·  provide the credit card used for the booking (and the security bond if different)
·  provide the matching photo ID 
·  sign a registration form confirming the receipt of remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions; including the authorisation for StayCentral to use the security deposit held by us as payment for any expenses as described in the above Terms.  
Please ask us about this if it may not be possible.
Pet stays
NB: Many of our properties, including this one, are pet-friendly, but only with approval, and as long as they are quiet, and do not damage or climb on the furnishings! The minimum pet stay fee is $150 and daily fees vary from $20 down to $5 for longer stays.
We require a minimum security bond of $1,500, which increases for long stays and last-minute bookings. The bond will be charged to your credit card used for the booking, or by EFT, and released after your departure (subject to a damage and excess cleaning check). The bond will be debited for any damage, missing items, excessive cleaning or food or rubbish removal. Any credit cards used must be verified by our SecureID security verification process. Cards that cannot be verified will not be accepted, and any payments made may not be honoured. Please enquire with us for more details before making a booking.
